Individual Work
Spring 2023
This education outpost learns from the system by which the braided river manipulates the movement of sediment. The panels slice through and alter the form, forcing the visitor to move like sediment, guided by the path carved out by the panels, through the exhibition spaces toward the site observation area. The panels control the views so that only slices of the landscape can be viewed until the visitor reaches the site observation area where the visitor is met with an expansive view of the river landscape. Over time, the river changes its path, but this outpost will continue to stay in the same location to educate and inspire visitors of the future about the braided river system.
